Ronkonkoma-based charter flight company ExcelAire has added an Embraer Legacy 600 private jet to its fleet – the fifth jet of this kind ExcelAire now has in its employ.

 

The super midsized jet boasts room for up to 13 passengers, with three distinct seating areas, and other amenities including Wi-Fi service.

 

“We pioneered the Legacy charter market and have seen the Legacy become a favorite of our customers,” ExcelAire President David Rimmer said. “It is the ideal aircraft for virtually every mission, including financial road shows, music tours, heads of state travel and family vacations.”

 

The Legacy 600 costs $27.45 million. With this new addition, ExcelAire now has the largest fleet of Legacy jets dedicated to charter service in the United States, Rimmer said.

 

ExcelAire, which has 23 private jets, is based at Long Island MacArthur Airport.
